Sweating and Gaping Blonde Vortex Britney Spears Swallows Up Whole Award Shows

There are really too many reasons, far too many. In one of the rare moments of Kanye West clarity (”George Bush Doesn’t Like Black People,” well duh) he says this of Britney Spears VMA perfromance:

We don’t have any sweaty pics of Britney Spears at the VMA’s, because she sort of just flopped around like a beached whale of a popstar, out of her natural environment and sycophant sea. We think the waves caught something nasty, here’s the video however, notice how all the other dancers look like they’re working up some heavy sweat.

When Britney Spears entered show business she was extremely young. She was shaped by the adults around her. She became the ’slut’ they wanted her to be because they thought that image would sell CDs. Britney is an industry. The demands, and who knows what else, that must swirl around her must be intense. I don’t blame her for anything. She never had a chance. It’s too easy to cast misogyny at women in our culture.
