According to USA Today which reported the Nielsen Soundscan statistics, sweaty Kelly Clarkson is waning in pop significance.
Five years after winning the first American Idol title, Kelly Clarkson may be losing it at the cash register. At least temporarily.
Her current album My December, a dark departure signaling the singer’s artistic independence and emotional turmoil, is falling short of its two peppy pop predecessors. In its sixth week on the Billboard chart, the disc dropped six slots to No. 21 after selling 26,500 copies, down 14% from last week’s 31,000, for a total of 562,000, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
None of us at the office have ever heard a Kelly Clarkson song so we fail to understand why she is famous besides the fact that a bunch of teenage Midwesterners and Southerners voted for her on America Idol. We understand her non-threatening-girl-next-door thing, but we like to think popstars are special and better than us so that when they fail (not if they fail) we can rip them apart like the culture cannibals we are… She just doens’t get us sweaty.

Well, what kind of office do you work in? a morgue? Even if you don’t like Clarkson, I find it hard to believe you or your co-workers have neveer heard a song of hers. “Breakaway” “Since U been gone” “Behind these hazel eyes” “Because of you” have all been huge hits all over the radio, even the latter, “Because of you” ended up not only #1 in the US, it was a number #1 song in the world, and now is presently being done in a duet with Reba McEntire(ever heard of her?) and Clarkson on Country radio.
I’m not a huge fan of hers, even tho I think she has a great voice, I just find it hard to believe ya’ll NEVER heard of her.

Indeed Carl, it is sometimes like a morgue around here. We’re all internet junkies, it’s like being half-dead, except we sweat a lot and don’t have a craving for brains… But we do walk around in a perspired stupor quite often, it’s just the nature of being bloggers.
You’re right, we have heard of those songs you’ve mentioned, we just didn’t know it was sweaty Kelly Clarkson’s songs. Forgive us Carl, for we have sinned. You see, we only listen to pop music in other people’s cars cause, we download (um, legally of course, wink, wink…).

Gotta agree with Carl on this one; that pic of sweaty Kelly is hot! LOVE that chubby (not fat…..drawing the line there) look with the short belly shirt and the low-rise pants. Can just imagine the sweet little rivers of sweat that travel across her tummy, down from the valley between the boobies toward their eventual well-groomed destination that I have no doubt consists of no more than a little landing strip or “hitler mustache” enclosed in a tight little g-string. And that wide ass that just makes that wasted look even smaller! I’m quite sure that a tastey little tributary of sweat has found its way through the valley of those butt cheeks as well! NICE!!!
