We get that as an urban private school kid, you can’t play the Christian virgin card, and we’re glad, because that’s just lame, it was lame the first time around, and every time since (Jonas Brothers need to eat glass).  We also get that you’re not the best dancer in the world, you’re no Janet Jackson or even sweaty Tito Jackson.  So you’re not going to wow us with your electric shuffle.  Your weird fashion and art thing makes sense, because really, what other angles are there right now?

What we don’t get (or understand too well) is that Fame Monster (and her other album) is a pop monster.  And that is exactly our point, does the music really have to be so exceedingly pop?  

If you listen carefully, it’s so similar to a Madonna album from the late 80′s, and while the lyrics are somewhat different than your average pop music fare, not one of her songs on any of her albums take many if any risks.  In a time where you can take your music anywhere and use all sorts sounds and inspirations, Lady Gaga’s music is like going back home to find out that your mom divorced your dad and is now a cougar, it’s confusing on the surface, but still familiar territory, because your mom and dad are still basically the same people, just in a new situation, like pop music and Lady Gaga.
